Application Process

Applying for the Emerge program generally follows the following schedule: applications are available for download on this page in late June; completed applications are due to the Leadership Austin office in early August; acceptance letters are mailed mid-August; and the program begins in September. Emerge FAQs

Please note that all applicants must meet the following qualifications:

Applicant is at least 23 years of age as of the application deadline.
Applicant has at least two year of employment experience.
Applicant is not a full-time student.
Applicant cannot be a candidate for public office at the time of application.
Applicant is willing and able to commit the time necessary to complete the program. Mandatory time commitments are outlined in the application form.
