Application Process
Applying for the Leadership Austin Essential Class generally follows the following schedule: applications are available for download on this page beginning in late March or early April; completed applications are due to our office in June; applicants are notified of their acceptance in early August; and classes begin in September
Application FAQs
Please note that all applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Applicant is at least 28 years of age as of the application deadline.
- Applicant has lived continuously in the Greater Austin area for one year as of the application deadline.
- Applicant cannot be a candidate for public office at the time of application.
- Applicant is willing and able to commit the time necessary to complete the program. Mandatory time commitments are outlined in the application form.
