Experience Austin is an informative, interactive orientation to the city that introduces participants to Austin´s issues, icons and institutions, and the people actively involved in creating solutions. The program is presented as a four session survey of Austin, including behind the scenes tours and introductions to leaders in the local government, economic, education, and arts and entertainment communities. The program is ideal for those who are new to town or want to become more deeply engaged with all Austin has to offer. Experience Austin participants leave with a greater love for Austin and connections that will enrich both their personal and professional lives.

Program topics include:

The Economic Pulse: Learn about the framework of Austin's economy and discover how it was transformed from a sleepy college town to a hotbed of innovation. Connect with the movers and shakers shaping Austin's future economy.
Hot Issues and Solutions: Visit the hubs of community activity, including City Hall and Barton Springs. Go behind the scenes with the elected and appointed officials and regional experts who make big things happen.
Vibrant Creative and Entrepreneurial Culture: Find out what keeps Austin weird and get an inside look at Austin's creative side.
